Futuro Informal
Plans and intentions — "going to." The most common future form in spoken BR Portuguese.

The clients would have closed their eyes to some flaws if the relationship had been stronger.
Fechar across the tenses
A short story using fechar in multiple tenses
No fim do ano, vai fechar definitivamente — a filha vai assumir o espaço.
For thirty years, Dona Célia used to close the corner shop at eight o'clock on the dot. She used to close the door, turn off the light, and stay ten more minutes tidying up — out of habit. The neighbours used to close their days with a quick stop there, exchanging the last words of the day. Today she's seventy-five and the shop still closes at eight. Yesterday she closed with the same ritual — door, light, ten minutes. We closed the evening together, sitting on the pavement, talking about things that aren't in a rush. At the end of the year, she's going to close it for good — her daughter is going to take over the space. "If all goes well, I will close with a party for the neighbourhood," she planned. I asked if she would close with sadness. She looked at the old door: "I would close with sadness for everything. But a door that closes makes room for another — and that I learned right here."
